Senator Adeyeye hosts Orangun of Oke-Ila

A front line traditional ruler in the State of Osun, the Orangun of Oke-Ila Orangun, Oba Adedokun Abolarin has harped on the need for Nigerians to learn to appreciate political office holders who are passionate about the growth and development of their people. Oba Abolarin made the call when he led stakeholders of Oke-Ila Orangun on an appreciation visit to the immediate past Senate Chief Whip, Professor Olusola Adeyeye, at his country home in Ora Igbomina for his efforts in attracting developmental projects to Oke Ila Orangun. While speaking the monarch described the infrastructural development oriented leadership of Senator Adeyeye as one which Nigeria needs now in order to witness an all-around development across the country. Oba Abolarin emphasized that by all standards, the former Chief whip of the Senate remains a successful politician who delivered dividends of democracy indiscriminately to his constituency officially and unofficially. Highlighting some of the mega projects aimed at face-lifting the ancient town of Oke-Ila Orangun, Oba Abolarin said the reconstruction of the Ila- Ora Igbomina -Ekan Meje and Oke ila Orangun road, the approval for the construction of Oke Ila Orangun-Oyi Ayegun road, the 25 classrooms School building with ict center and a gigantic multi-purpose community educational center will make senator Adeyeye’s name eternally indelible in the minds of Oke-Ila Orangun people. The chairman, Ifedayo Local government, Hon Idowu Abiodun, described Senator Adeyeye as an exemplary leader whose passion is to make life better and convenient for his people adding that by his political activities, he has forever won the heart of Oke-Ila people. In his reaction, Senator Adeyeye who was flanked by his wife, Prof Mojisola Adeyeye commended the people of Oke-Ila Orangun for the appreciation visit and for believing in his leadership stressing that he will forever be committed to providing indiscriminate welfare to his people in every possible capacity. Sen. Adeyeye noted that Ila to Ora igbomina-Ekan Meje and Oke ila Orangun road will be constructed according to specifications. According to him, the road construction and all other ongoing projects would not witness any delay as funds have been duly appropriated for them. He used the occasion to disclose that he would not be quitting active politics for any reason saying since politics offer a veritable platform for affecting people’s lives positively, he would remain a politician for life. He assured the Orangun of Oke Ila Orangun and the entire delegation that the ancient town being the headquarters of Ifedayo local government Area will continue to attract his developmental attention in all ramifications and at all fronts.
