Traditional religion worshipers in Osun state has called on Government to give support and enhancement to cultural values. This year festival held at Freedom Park in Osogbo, the state capital to mark the importance of our Ancestor called Eledumare. Speaking at the event, Araba Awo of Osogbo, Ifayemi Elebuibon and Asiwaju Awo Agbaye, Ifagbenisola Atanda says the significance of the festival is to pay homage to the almighty God and the Yoruba progenitors. They implored political leaders and other state in the southwest to emulate and give Isese day acknowledgement . Joyce Adewumi, Asiwaju Awo of New York, opined that Isese festival gives the worshipers an opportunity to remember their source, she said western people are eager to imbibe African traditions. Adewumi maintained that western people believed it takes problem away from them. She also stressed that Nigerians should practice their culture to avoid misleading from other tribes. She said Nigerians have precious gift through culture Supervisor for home affairs and tourism, Babawale Adebisi who represented Governor Gboyega Oyetola applauded traditional worshipers for supporting government programmes. He charged them to maintain peaceful co-existence across the nook and crannies of the state.
