The dredging of the water ways followed an appeal by some residents of Ado Ekiti over the incessant flooding which had rendered many homeless. The people had on several occasions stressed the need for government to dredge the waterways for free flow of water. Our correspondent who witnessed the dredging reports that the exercise had started at River ofin around Ayemi garage in the state capital. Some of the residents especially those living around the concerned areas said the development would prevent reoccurrence of flooding experienced in the state recently.
