Famodun grieves over Oyo APC chairman’s daughter’s death


State of Osun chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Gboyega Famodun, has commiserated with his Oyo State counterpart, Chief Akin Oke, over the death of her daughter in far away Canada.
It was widely reported that Mrs Taiwo Ogunode, the daughter of the Oyo State APC Chairman, died in Canada as a result of ill-health at the age of 45 on Monday.
According to a statement issued by the Media Consultant to the state party chairman, Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo today.
Famodun said, the psychological trauma that the loss of a child could elicit could be extremely painful beyond expression by words.
The Osun APC chairman stated that it was with a heavy heart that he learnt about the death of the daughter of the APC chairman in Oyo State and that he instantly wished that it was not true.
He stated that God, the Author and Finisher of all the mortals’ faith has the prerogative of when to end the life race of all individuals irrespective of consideration for age.
The Osun APC chairman prayed to Almighty God to shower divine protection on the other siblings of the deceased.
He also prayed to God to divinely shield the three children left behind by the departed, adding that there would be a permanent end of tragic occurrence in the homestead of Chief Oke.
Famodun pleaded with Chief Oke to take heart and take solace in the biblical saying that “It’s God that giveth that taketh”.
He also prayed to God to forgive the deceased her inadequacies and grant those she left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The state party chairman hinted that the sudden death of Mrs Ogunode was a great loss to the APC family in Oyo State, stating that the accompanying shock could only be ameliorated by taking the unusual unsavoury incident philosophically.
